Adopt A Coral

So we are well and busy which is good ;-D The island seems to be getting busier and Simon has been teaching a lot as well as all the other work he does. I’ve been doing conservation diving most days, but am waiting for a few more students. I’ve had a really odd bunch of people come through ..I hope all of that is now over and the next lot, are really nice people. FINGERS CROSSED

So with regards to your Adopt a Coral. Our survey is only a couple of months late due to various reasons but they are well-loved and they’re all doing really well. ;-D We’ll send you the link separately

Love to everyone,

XOXOX

What was supposed to be a month’s break in the UK turned into 2 months. Certainly not complaining and we enjoyed every minute we were back home.

There is no price on seeing family and as ever we were so thankful for being lucky enough to have multiple places to stay.

The first week back in the UK we spent at Fiona & Chris’s which was wonderful. We got to meet their new dog Freddy and I got to spend quality time with my God Daughter. It’s great that we can just rock up, settle in. It’s like going home from home.

What was a teary moment was surprising Rosie & Charles. Fiona had invited them over for Sunday lunch and we just surprised them by walking down the stairs. Obviously, I was bubbling even before seeing them but that was a lovely moment.

We obviously had to isolate for a few days until we got our negative PCR results but after that, it was off visiting Simons’s family and doing lateral flow tests as and when needed. Better to be safe than sorry.

It’s odd how quickly we adjusted into normal-ish life. After being on Koh Tao with hardly any covid, any people for that matter it was very overwhelming traveling, especially as our main flight was packed. We have certainly been in a bubble for the last couple of years.

The rest of our time we spent with Rosies & Charles on the farm in our old bedroom, the end room. ;-D

It was so good to finally be able to help Rosie out. We know that she’s constantly in discomfort and being able to do any little task or allow her to sleep a little longer is something ..but she mustn’t get too lazy. Even for Charles and the boys, it’s good for them to have a break ;-D

Back now in Koh Tao, it doesn’t feel as though we’ve been away, same old things going on, very tiring at times. It’s taken us both longer to adjust to the time difference. Perhaps that’s just an age thing.

Simon has been teaching Open Waters, for the first time in 4 years and he’s pretty tired ..that’s on top of the website build, helping me …and more.

All is good, sending our love and thinking of everyone lots

Jenny & Simon
