I’ve been useless about keeping up the blog. Sorry!

We have been terribly busy. The island is nearly back to normal with an influx of students. We’ve been really luck in the recent months to have a regular turnover of interns of which have all been really nice. The odd one where I’ve had to mother them, basically clear up after them but all n all a really nice bunch of students.

What’s really good is that we have formed a good relationship with ‘Just One Ocean’ UK Charity and ‘The Big Microplastics Survey’ who work with the University of Portsmouth. They have just sent 4 students over for a month, to complete diving courses and eco internships. This has just been a trial but both CD’s CEO came over and were extremely happy with what we’re doing, and what we can offer students and they’re going to work on bigger numbers and groups for next year. So we are very happy and look forward to receiving future students. We’ve also been contacted by other companies which want to send multiple groups/students ..so things are looking up!

We are currently on our way to the UK ..we left Koh Tao on the 6th and due to some unforeseen circumstances, we’re still stuck here. I injured myself and by the time it took to get from Koh Tao to Koh Samui, I couldn’t walk, so had to be wheelchaired off the ferry. I went to the hospital and it transpired that I had an internal bleed on my knee which was drained to my relief.

Anyway, to cut a very long story and multiple hospital visits, we’re booked on a flight on 13th October, just a week late. Better late than never!

Simon has been AMAZING as always, doing everything as I’m hobbling on crutches.

Missing everyone very much!!

XOXOX

It’s hot here at the moment and I think we are having a delayed summer The water temperature thankfully has been around 29 – 30 degrees which isn’t too bad for the corals, anything higher, then we’re going to see a lot of bleaching. At the moment I’ve only noticed bleaching in the shallows.

So we’ve been really busy, I’ve had a few really nice interns which have been very useful, making movies, and designing signs for The Coral Tribe” to make our presence felt at the dive center as at the moment you really wouldn’t know were there apart from a few Blackboards and posters.

We’ve been working on a little stand that will go in the Crystal reception with all our eco products on, and Simons designed some really cool bandannas (buffs) that I’m hoping will sell really well. This one I’ve been wearing, so it’s looking a little crumpled 😀
