After teaching a 5 person Open Water Course in what seems like ages, I now have the day off.   It was so lovely this morning not to have to get up 😀    The course itself went well, no real big issues.  I didn’t get any Con-Ed (continuing education/people going on to do Advanced)  ..So,  as it’s very quiet down at Crystal, I’ll probably have a few days off.

It’ll be nice to have time to have a good sort out and get back on the bike which I haven’t ridden properly for a couple of weeks.  My body can certainly feel it.  I need to get back to swimming as well, now that I’ve got my trendy waterproof headphones.

Simon on the other hand has been really good, he’s been out running.

As it’s Sunday, Simon is preparing a roast dinner  ..so I’m very much looking forward to that..

With some real whopper storms overnight, its seems that the Monsoon season is about to commence.
Jenny started an Open Water course today with 5 students… for this time of year that is quite a big group. I think she is quite looking forward to getting back into the groove.

I spent time with the Eco crew, helping out with Clam Transplants at Junkyard… The visibility was pretty poor so I didn’t see much, but its still nice to be underwater.!

I have also spent some time working on www.divekohtao.com and www.crystalimageskohtao.com . Both websites need various things implemented, but trying to catch up with the right people is proving to be difficult.

With a little bit of UK work, a bit of flying the drone, and preparing for an upcoming Self Reliant Course that I am teaching in 2 days… the time is passing quickly…

Now, if I could just get some sleep through the storms!

A couple of lazy days ensued with lots of watching tv, out to Chatuchak Market for some serious mooching and generally chilling out..

Last night however was most definitely not chilled. Jen had gone to the pool… I popped to the gym for a run. Afterwards I met Jen and we returned to the room… and realised that I had locked the only set of keys in the room…

After speaking to the front desk of the complex, they said they could do nothing without the owners permission… and after frantic calls its seemed that the owner was out of contact for 2 days! This posed a big problem:

1. Jen in a bikini, me in sweaty gym stuff.
2. No money
3. Very low battery on phone
4. Nowhere to sleep

I must admit, that panic was setting in… we were due to fly the next morning and with no way to get into our room it seemed like we were in deep trouble. I managed to finally communicate the dire situation to the front desk and call a locksmith for me. The guy turned up half an hour later and opened the door in a flash with his lock picking skills… 30 quid well spent.!

The next morning, at 5am… it was time to go..

With our 74kg of luggage we got a taxi, flight, ferry, and taxi…

Finally back to the apartment on Koh Tao… it was time to unpack and then head out to say hi to everybody in the evening before returning to the apartment with a nice takeaway from Yang’s restaurant..
