13 September 2021

Life on Koh Tao is still good. Covid is finally creeping onto the island. There have been tougher constrictions and curfews but to be honest, we’ve been really lucky

The hospital is full, they’ve organised rapid testing for everyone who is a high risk to hopefully catch the positive ones and get them into quarantine. If we know we’ve been in contact with someone who’s tested positive (my student) then we have to quarantine and register with the hospital online.

I got a rapid test yesterday ..thankfully I tested Negative ;-D

So with all that going on, I had to cut my student’s internship short. We a clean-up which was supposed to be filmed by the Discovery Channel. All in aid of the Thai Tourism Authority. I’m not too bothered about that, but I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye in person to my student which felt odd.

You never know what’s going to happen! I pray that they don’t stop us diving! That would be terrible.

As of 14 September 2021, there have been 100 COVID-19 positive cases. So it’s not bad in comparison to the rest of the world. We are just a little behind.

Our restrictions: Takeaway food Only. Gyms, Yoga, Massage, Muoy Thai & Tattoo shops Closed. I must say that some of the shops don’t let you go in, you have to ask for what you want at the door.

I found the glass at the dump and collected the glass from a couple of beach clean ;-D So creative!!
