Day 207 – Koh Tao

Before I woke, Si popped down to the clinic as his ear was very painful and had it syringed.  They picked some lovely wax out and he was able to hear again but as the day went on, it became more painful, so went on to painkillers which seemed to help slightly.  If it persists, I think antibiotics are needed.

So after a fabulous day yesterday, we just took it easy, cleaned the house, watched a few movies as we were both aching from the trapeze.

In the evening we popped down to Crystal to watch the Open Water movies, then a couple of episodes of Whale Wars which was entertaining.

On our way home we rode into Sairee to get a takeaway.

Day 206 – Anniversary Report

Today, I woke up, got dressed and sneaked out.

My mission was to buy flowers, croissants and orange juice for Jen.

Got back and realised we had no milk for tea, so out again I went!

Woke Jen with a nice cuppa, flowers and cornflakes. Then croissants, butter and jam. I think she enjoyed that.
After catching up with a couple of episodes of Big Brother, we went to a dive shop to buy some new booties for her! She really needed a new pair since her other ones have huge holes in…

Boots purchased, it was time to go play in the pool… for a couple of hours. Very relaxing.

At 5pm we went back home, and changed into some dry clothes before going to our next appointment… The Flying Trapeze.

Jen was very nervous at first, but soon got the hang of it, getting extremely close to a catch at the end. I was luckier, getting my first catch bang on (subsequent ones, didn’t work out).

After an exhausting hour of flying through the air with not the greatest of ease, we went for dinner at Papa’s Tapas. A really nice dinner, with a bottle of wine that costs nearly £50 here that you could buy in Tesco’s for £8… well it was a special occasion, and boy was it nice to have a decent (ish) bottle of wine.

Back home, we watched Prince of Persia before bed.
