So,
Another month begins, and its been a busy week.
I have been out on the boat with my Go Pro, doing some Self Reliant dives and helping Jen with her Reef Check course.
She started the course with Kirsty (who wanted to get it done before she leaves) and a new Instructor called Han Song. Both of them sailed through the course, and had a great time…
They even celebrated the final survey by having a few Gin & Tonics before chowing down on a Fried Cricket… Yuck! Â Needless to say my excuses about being a Vegetarian was enough to get me out of the same fate.

The island is in its last busy phase before it goes quiet for a couple of months. I am working hard to finish of outstanding UK work, before getting back to my walking…
Jenny and Kirsty have been spending her last couple of days here doing some diving and massages… She is off on the 3rd back to the UK… It will be strange, not sharing a house with someone…

We were all up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning ready for a good walk to the view point.
Kirsty hadn’t done the whole walk before and sadly she’s leaving the island early September, so we thought we’d take on a little adventure 😉

Even though, we left pretty early, it was still very hot. Â We’d packed water, covered ourselves with suncream and marched upward and onward till we finally came to the first stop/view point.

We are so lucky living on a pretty island such as Koh Tao  …you really have to sit back sometimes and just take everything in  …this view point is the perfect place to do that.

The journey down the hill was pretty steep in places, Kirsty and I had a few little slides.  The track’s so uneven that it really plays havoc with your knee’s  ..we definitely are getting old, but not too old I hasten to add 😀
Simon gave me a big old stick, which was great for fighting off snakes that we encountered  …urgh!!!!
