All is good here on Koh Tao.

The country has opened up again but it’s still pretty difficult to get here. You either have to do a quarantine in Phuket or you can do the Samui Plus program which began on July 15th. Visitors need only stay on Koh Samui for the first 7 days of their holiday. After this, they are free to travel to Koh Tao. But saying that, you’ve still got to get to Koh Samui. I’m unsure as to whether anyone really knows what’s going on. I’m sure this will change again.

While you’ve been having a heatwave in the UK we have been having some cooler weather, high winds, and rain but it’s been pretty pleasant, to be honest. Our friend Carsten, who left to get work in Chang Mai has been staying in the house below us (in fact his old house) for the last 3 weeks. it’s been lovely, BBQs, bonfires, catch-ups, and diving. It’s good that he’s gone as we can catch up on sleep ;-D

June has disappeared already!

It’s been a busy month, which has been refreshing. My intern is only here for another few weeks before returning home.

He should actually finish his Internship tomorrow but as we’ve had to cancel a few days of diving due to weather and circumstances, we’re giving him a couple of extra days. We are so nice!!

So this week we were informed that we’re getting our Covid jabs (AstraZeneca). Yes, you read that correctly. Very last minute, but as I type, Simon has already had his but has to wait 30mins or so before he can leave the makeshift medical center just in case anything happens. I have got my jab tomorrow at 8AM as I’m going in early, there shouldn’t be too much hanging around.

With the Jabs, we’ve been advised that we shouldn’t dive the day before or for a week after being vaccinated. Very inconvenient but best to be on the safe side.

It’ll be nice to have a week off, well sort of a week off. I’m going to be baking, exercising, and pushing my creative side ;-D
