So sorry for the lack of blogs.   I don’t know where the time has gone.

I had a cold and sore throat over new year and then passed it onto Simon.

I was so sick that we stayed indoors on New Years Eve playing Risk with Kirsty…

I do like to share my bugs 😀  So we’ve both been feeling a little sorry for ourselves.  It’s only today that I actually feel normal although Simon is still suffering but working none the less, such a trooper!

Yesterday I finished a 5 person Open water course with some great English girls and a Swiss guy.  They were great fun and thankfully very good in the water.   They had a video made by Tim and they got pretty emotional  ..argh!!

Not too sure whether I’ve told you all, but I’ve taken over ECO Koh Tao from Nathan.  He’s returned to Australia with his family.  So I’ve been busy, cleaning, sorting out the ECO office, as well as catching up on ECO correspondence and teaching Open Water  ..so it’s been a busy time.

Today, I held my first Beach/Dive site Clean up.  Only a few DMT’s (Dive Masters in training) were free to help so we cleaned around Crystal and just off the beach as now we’re having to do the confined pool session in the sea as the Crystal pool is out of action.

Woo hoo… Xmas morning!!

We slept it until about 9am… Santa bought us a stocking each, so we had a cup of tea in bed and opened up our stocking pressies!!

Then it was time to go upstairs, put on some fresh coffee and warm up the croissants that I had bought the day before..

Jenny, Kirsty and I all sat around opening up our various pressies… This year we got so many cool little pressies.. Sweeties, T-shirts, tea towels… loads of stuff……Rosie even managed to send 2 mince pies… I have no idea how they survived!

We also got some more decorations, so we spent some time drinking our coffee and hanging the new decorations… Then it was time for Jenny to go to work…. 🙁

Only a couple of hours to work, Jenny had a quiet afternoon, before we headed to Hacienda for our Xmas dinner… we spent several hours playing games, and eating our Xmas dinner with Carsten, Tina, Linda, Steve, Double and Kirsty.

At about 8pm we were all flagging, so we went home to watch “Its a Wonderful Life” (the colour version!) After that, people were starting to fall asleep, so it was time for bed!!

We had a great Xmas day…. emotional being so far away from family… but fun…

Now, back to work!
