Woo hoo… Xmas morning!!

We slept it until about 9am… Santa bought us a stocking each, so we had a cup of tea in bed and opened up our stocking pressies!!

Then it was time to go upstairs, put on some fresh coffee and warm up the croissants that I had bought the day before..

Jenny, Kirsty and I all sat around opening up our various pressies… This year we got so many cool little pressies.. Sweeties, T-shirts, tea towels… loads of stuff……Rosie even managed to send 2 mince pies… I have no idea how they survived!

We also got some more decorations, so we spent some time drinking our coffee and hanging the new decorations… Then it was time for Jenny to go to work…. 🙁

Only a couple of hours to work, Jenny had a quiet afternoon, before we headed to Hacienda for our Xmas dinner… we spent several hours playing games, and eating our Xmas dinner with Carsten, Tina, Linda, Steve, Double and Kirsty.

At about 8pm we were all flagging, so we went home to watch “Its a Wonderful Life” (the colour version!) After that, people were starting to fall asleep, so it was time for bed!!

We had a great Xmas day…. emotional being so far away from family… but fun…

Now, back to work!

After finishing Open Water I went straight on to an Advanced course with a Swiss and American chap.  Both very nice and good in the water which was a lovely way to start the ‘revised’ Open water course.  There’s been a few addition/amendments which seemed to take a lot longer with academics and the confined/pool session,  so I can’t really comment as to whether it’s any better.

My students eager for AOW

With Christmas fast approaching, we are trying to get into the festive spirit.  We’ve purchased Santa hats, put decorations up  ..it all seems a bit odd when it’s so warm and with everyone still working.   I’ve got my Christmas shift 12-2pm  ..so manning the office and Kirsty is doing 2-4pm.

We’ve got lots of pressies under the tree  ..mostly from everyone in the UK  ..so lovely!    I still trying to contact Santa to give him a few tips on what Simon would like in his stocking but I’ve had no reply  ..we’ll just have to wait and see  🙂

I’ve had the last couple of days off.  I’ve managed to go out on the bike, after having my puncture and tyre replaced.   Having not cycled for over a week or so, I felt the burn, not only in my legs but I didn’t pick the best time to go out  LOL   When will I learn?!

17th December 2014

Alright folks,

After another intensive few days, and feeling like collapsing into bed as soon as I got home…  Its time for a couple of days off!!! YAY!!!

The weather has got colder here… its got cloudy… a little rain and a fair amount of wind have reduced the temperature to a balmy 27 degrees… Its almost like Christmas !!!

I have been organising our Christmas dinner, which instead of last year, where we cooked… we have decided to head to Hacienda and let them do the hard work for us.  Jenny and Kirsty are both having to work Xmas shifts, manning (or womanning) the office for a couple of hours each. Once they have finished then we shall head to dinner and probably stay there the rest of the day.

Now thats organised, I can start looking at a multitude of other things that are on my list to do… 1st on my list is to try and have a lay in… 5:50am this morning I woke up…. on a day off!!! GRRRRR!!
