The time has just flown by and Simon and I have been all over the place to say our ‘goodbyes’.

We’ve been to Kent to visit Simon’s mum, Del and Aunty Pat.  Caught up with friends for drinks/meals and attended Simon’s fathers retirement party at the BBC with live music from the Velvet Gods of Wrath.

The week has been busy.    We’ve caught up with good friends Ally & Phil.  Rosie (big sis) and I have had an Annie Sloan painting day over at my other sister Fiona’s which was great fun.  I’ve also cycled most days and have helped out in my sisters Tea room, as she’s been poorly.  Si’s been down to Kent for a cards night with the boys, been in and out of the office and today, completed a 5k charity run with a sore ankle at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dogmersfield today  ..so I’m very proud!

It ended up being a productive couple of days.  Jan’s brilliant at home crafts and it inspired us to make all sorts.  Napkins, keyring, bag holders, lavender bags and a couple of hearts ..we had great fun and even though Jan had a nasty sickness bug and Rosie a sore throat and the start of a cold.

What was also lovely is that we caught up with nieces and nephews and their little ones
